Best Trade Specialists

The Regional Trade Promotion (RTP) network offers Central Asian companies and entrepreneurs services on regional trade promotion to help locate customers and suppliers both in and outside Central Asian region.

RTP services are provided by trade specialists of the USAID Enterprise Development Project as well as by partner organizations throughout Central Asian region. Currently our trade specialists are working in 17 cities of all Central Asian countries.

For over three years in business the RTP network has facilitated deals worth more than $109 million USD.

These accomplishments are directly linked to high quality of RTP services, expertise and skills of professional assistance in securing deals and consulting services on international trade activities, as well as to active participation and commitment of the trade specialists to further strengthening and expansion of the Central Asian RTP network. Starting from August 2005 achievements and contribution of each trade specialist to the Central Asian RTP network development will be recognized by selecting the best performing RTP specialist of the month.

We congratulate RTP Practice Specialist from Bishkek-EDC (Kyrgyzstan) Shamil Ibragimov on being selected as the best Trade Specialist of December 2005.

During December 2005 Shamil Ibraghimov has delivered 19 services including 14 RTP services to 7 clients and 5 RTP partner support services to 3 RTP partners in Northern Kyrgyzstan.

His professional assistance in identification & analysis of suppliers for buyers, consultancy in export / import procedures and costs, assistance with trade related service providers and negotiations assistance have resulted in facilitation of the import trade deal (TS-1 jet fuel from Russia into Kyrgyzstan) worth of $1,575,000, the highest ever trade deal facilitated by Bishkek-EDC.

Additionally, Shamil Ibraghimov has demonstrated strong RTP partner development and mentoring skills through delivery of the excellent RTP induction training for a new RTP partner in Northern Kyrgyzstan and advice and support provided to existing RTP partners in Northern Kyrgyzstan.
