Shamil Ibraghimov

Mr. Shamil Ibraghimov has been working for more than two years as a Trade Specialist for the USAID Enterprise Development Project's Regional Trade Promotion component.
Shamil has extensive experience in import-export operations and in the areas of trade and sales promotion in Kyrgyzstan, including assistance in preparing commercial offers, terms of sales, development of promotional materials, and providing advice on participating in trade fairs.
Prior to joining EDP, Shamil worked as a coordinator for the Ilim International Educational Center, implementing the students exchange program with universities in Europe and the US. During 2001, Shamil worked in the Trade Promotion Department of Scottish Power Plc. in Dundee, Scotland. His duties included expansion of the customer base and corporate brand promotion.
Shamil's duties at EDP include assisting companies in trade-related issues including but not limited to a search of and interacting with potential buyers/suppliers, providing consulting services on the overall design of promotional materials, offering various marketing opportunities (trade fairs, exhibitions, workshops, and presentations), solving specific trade-related problems, and assisting in the development of various documents (contracts, offers, responses).
Shamil is a graduate of The Kyrgyz State National University majoring in International Relations.
